The kids all have jobs when it comes to setting up camp...
sometimes they get a little more help than they really need....(or want)
She can shake the sand out of her sandals by herself...
When we work, we all work...
We enjoyed our time at Lake Havasue, and would have liked to spend more than one night there.
And when it comes to meeting other families that are on the road, you take the opportunity to meet them when it arises - you never know long that chance will be available with everyone so, ummm, mobile!
The next morning, Beth and I (and Caleb), drove up the street a block and got the laundry caught up before meeting up with the 5er and heading to that RV mecca (LOL!), Quartzsite - boondocking heaven...
We were sad to leave the beautiful weather, perfect for a dip in the lake.
But, if YOU happen to be near Lake Havasu, Arizona, be sure to stop by the state park there, preferably in the evening - the sunsets are beautiful!!!
P.S. Just a reminder that this weekend is free entrance into the National Parks that usually charge! On Jan 14, 15, and 16, you can visit these parks for free! A list of the parks that usually have an entrance/usage fee are found here. We will be taking advantage of this free weekend ourselves since our National Parks Pass expired Dec. 31; our tribe will be getting in free at Tuzigoot National Monument and Montezuma's Castle N.M. here in AZ! ~maybe we'll see you there! :)
We love AZ state parks also. But did you see where they are discussing doubling the fee? that would make most of them $50 a night. That will not be in our budget.
