our time here...

So, while we are still in our RV (ummm, it's our home...), we have been parked for a week and a half now. What have we been up to?

Well, we are in Arizona, so it's...

Family! of course...

Aunt Vera (who is Vaughn's aunt), reads Molly a book. Molly has gotten quite used to meeting new people thanks to our travels, and warmed right up this year! We go to Aunt Vera's house, or one of the other relatives here, and she feels right at home (sometimes a little too at home!!!)

We would have never been able to get to know this branch of the family tree nearly so well if we were not traveling! And, as this is our 3rd winter stopping by to see them (and our 2nd yr. camping in L & C's driveway), we are getting to know them quite well; even getting to meet relatives of Vaughn's that I had not met (nor had he seen) in over 20 years of marriage! I'm so glad that my kiddos have this opportunity to get to know their extended family!

We pay for our electrical usage at their house, by digging holes... (LOL!)

~ it's good for the kids to get some manual labor in their days...

so they have been planting Aunt Carol's new fruit trees for her; it's a short walk to work since we are parked in her driveway! ;)

(with help from Uncle Larry!)...

The kids planted trees here, and then transplanted quite a few century plants down half a block where Uncle Larry's sister (and her hubby) just bought a house...

So, we have this barter thing going on - we pay for our 'site' in Uncle Larry's driveway by digging in his dirt, while at his sisters, we exchange our manual labor of transplanting for...

OH MY, look at the time!!!

~suffice it to say that we are having a fab time, and not minding the heat a bit this year!!! :)
